Wine and friends...Part II

Tonight I have another late night "wine session" with Petra and Daniel. Yes, it is the same wine but this time Petra decides to make some spicy "Gluewein" from the leftover box wine.

It is a team effort...Petra mixes the wine while it is busy heating up...

while I "test" the wine...

So, once my "stamp of approval" test is passed, we sit around the kitchen table drinking wine and having deep philosophical chats...once again...

Petra's improvisation...from cheap Finnish box wine to spicy, steamy "Gluewein"...hmmmmmmmm!

Our entertaining lecturer!

Today we had a two hour lecturer on "Finland and Finns" . Our lecturer - Markus Korhonen - is such a character and highly entertaining! He is such a funny comical man and a walking encyclopedia of Finnish history, facts and stories! Some really interesting stories...

Yesterday he even sang to us a Finnish song. Today he was about to tell us, yet another fascinating story about some Russian general who was born 200 years ago, when he couldn't remember the name of the Russian general...
We all burst into laughter when he took out his cell phone and announced..."I have to phone my daddy!" as he desperately wanted to tell us the name of the Russian general. So he picked up his cell phone and phoned his dad... unfortunately know one answered and so (to his great disappointment) the Russian general remained nameless...
